Instructions for use of lubricant
Storage of lubricant
1. It cannot be placed upright outdoors, lest it is mixed and polluted by moisture and impurities.
2. It can be stored vertically indoors, with the barrel face upward, to make it convenient to be taken.
3. Screw up the seal closure and keep the barrel sealed.
4. Keep the barrel body clean and the identification clear.
5. Keep the floor clean, so as to spot oil leakage timely.
6. Record the warehousing, first come and first use.
7. Frequently extract lubricant, put it on barrel stand and control the flow with a switch.
8. New oil and waste oil should be separated. The containers which have ever contained waste oil cannot be used to contain new oil to avoid pollution.
Safety of lubricant:
1. The lubricant should be stored independently, around which combustible goods may not be stored.
2. No open flames, and no kindling material into the oil depot.
3. At least two extinguishers should be deployed.
4. The oil cloth or greasy dirt after wiping machinery cannot be piled lest it becomes combustion-supporting.
5. The inflammable special lubricant or chemical solvents should be stored separately and marked as inflammable materials.
Attentions
1. Consult with lubrication experts, use lubricant of proper specifications to try to reduce the types of lubricant.
2. Mark out the parts for applying lubricant with simple patterns, the name of lubricant, lubricant applying period, and designate special personnel to avoid using the wrong lubricant.
3. Before applying lubricant each time, it's necessary to wipe clean the containers and tools such as oil pump and oil pot.
4. Each type of lubricant should be contained with a special container, which should be marked with the name of lubricant contained on the container to avoid pollution.
5. Before replacing the lubricant, the machinery should be washed clean with solvent, but should not use water soluble detergent.
6. After adding or replacing lubricant each time, the machinery maintenance should be recorded.
7. If abnormal conditions of lubricant are found or it's near the time to replace the lubricant, sample should be submitted to a professional company for test and verification.
Environment protection and health
1. It's forbidden to directly drain waste oil into ditches and pour into soil, lest it pollutes the environment.
2. Waste oil and liquid should be collected with a special barrel, which should be recycled by collectors approved by the government and should not be dumped randomly.
3. The personnel with skin allergy or scratched skin should not directly contact with lubricant.
4. Do not wear clothes which will be penetrated by oil, and do not put polluted cloth waste into the bag.
5. Do not wipe the oil stains of skin with dirty cloth, lest metal scraps hidden in the cloth might bruise the skin and trigger infection.
